    Themed Photography :: Week 18 :: DOORS

Tons of applause for all of you who put forth such a great effort last week!!! Lots of great work again!!

As this is going to be a short week, let's have a nice simple theme. MsP suggested DOORS.

There are DOORS on everything, so let's see you capture them.

Use this week's theme creatively and let's see those photos!!

    As always, the Ru|3z:
    • This is NOT a PhotoShop battle it is a photography battle. Only slightly touched up photos may be submitted.
    • Let's keep the file and image size under FK guidelines (under 750 px wide).
    • All photographs must be related to the current weekly theme.
    • Photographs must be taken by the idividual posting (no stealing photos).
    • Use any camera (ie. cellphone, point-and-shoot, disposable) just submit!
    • Multiple submission are welcomed.
    • Photos must be no more than a week old. Take some NEW pictures people!

Have fun, get creative, post as often as you like.

i had planned to go downtown this weekend at get some real shots.
having a city that is 300+ years old across the river gave me many ideas...
(don't laugh euros...300 years is pretty old for over here!)
but alas, my excursions are limited when a 2-year-old is in tow.
so, the above is all i got!

I really like the focus on the car door.

Is that a toy car? At first glance I thought it was a gas tank door! :-) Neat shot!

LOL! You are right Nordberg, 300 years is just a baby still! And speaking of babies... you should take Coop with you downtown and photograph him with some of those old doors! that would make a great contrast of young and old!

Nords, I hope that is not your front door (#2)

I had the wonderul opportunity to walk a very familiar small town close to home. I am starting to see. I want to thank you all for that.....

Ladies and gentleman, I give you Murphy's, California:

GOD!!! I have SOOOOOO many more, so gonna let this go 'til Tuesday

Very Nice EVP! the curves of the planter in the first one are a neat contrast between the straight lines of the doors, capped off by the arches! Then you pulled it off again with the X in the second one! But I like the first one best.... no reflections of the parking lot in its windows. :-) It looks like they take security very serious!!

Great job! I look forward to seeing the rest of them!

yep, that's a mini mini cooper (only about 7 inches long), and sitting on my back porch.
like i said, i didn't get a chance to really go out into the field.
luckily, there is plenty of inspiration laying around my house.

i love that green E! that first one is really cool, but the second just looks like you snapped it while walking by. that beam in the foreground is distracting as well. but niether of them are boring, which is the problem with my shots...boring! (especially when i can't get out).

Yeah, I moved all over the place trying to not have that post stand out. I was just trying to show how tall those doors really are (old gold country buildings here) in Murphys.

Alas, I am having trouble with my computer.....some shared carbon library issue.....and can not get PS to launch. So, no more doors this week.....sorry. I'll post the new theme in a moment.

    Have a great week!!!
