Themed Photography :: Week 8 :: SELF PORTRAIT

This was another great week. The quality of photographs posted goes up every week. We got to see some great work from david petley (desktop worthy), littleMatt (nice composition), gesteves (nice capture), Hybrid Inc (really creative), carly1979 (peekaboo, I see you!), nordberg (Cooperiffic), and admedia (those made me miss the beach man). Not a bad showing out the entire bunch. Bravo!

Riding on the coat tails of the popularity of this thread, this week theme will be CREATIVE SELF PORTRAIT.

In addition to the normal ru|3z I do not want some fuzzy, grain picture of your leg.

1) You must either occupy 75% of the photo space OR show 50% of you IN the photo - blow the knees does not count!
2) 50% of you MUST BE IN FOCUS.
3) Remember that this is for fun, so I want to see a lot of participation.

As always, the Ru|3z:

• This is NOT a PhotoShop battle it is a photography battle. Only slightly touched up photos may be submitted.
• Let's keep the file and image size under FK guidelines (under 700 px wide).
• All photographs must be related to the current weekly theme.
• Photographs must be taken by the idividual posting (no stealing photos).
• Use any camera (ie. cellphone, point-and-shoot, disposable) just submit!
• Multiple submission are welcomed.
• Photos must be no more than a week old. Take some NEW pictures people!

Have fun, get creative, post as often as you like.

First of all WOW! the photos are so impressive from everyone, this is a great idea and I wish to participate tooo. I think all designers should take photos, so much good stuff. Thanks for coming up with this EVP, ill post something soon :P

Only photos of you, not your friend. Once again there are loopholes in the above ru|3z, find them like tiGRAN=-2001 did.

Technically that is not a self portrait and it breaks the "Photographs must be taken by the idividual posting (no stealing photos)" rule. Sorry mang

Get a tripod, set up some books, use a chair, use a mirror, set a timer as long as you set it up and do the creative work you can do anything by yourself that someone else helping you can do. Give that a shot Mecha. Can't wait to see what you post.

I am transfering photos from my Canon right now.....should have my post up soon.

We had snow two days ago and it is beautiful out today.....my new work outfit.......mountain life.....

Very nice EVP (and creative i might add)...but mountain life and a Les Paul don't really fit. Isn't that supposed to be a Martin or something.

I think I have the same guitar ... that is if it's a Les Paul Studio ... wine red? Hard for me to tell from that angle though.
