    Themed Photography :: Week 6 :: BLACK & WHITE

Looks like things really picked up in week 5 with great submissions by gesteves, Loyal Rogue, nordberg, littleMatt, clicky2, david petley, carly1979, and Happy Pixel. I also got some good theme ideas from Saint Benedetta and david petley.

This week the theme is BLACK & WHITE.
I think fruitloops was the only one to submit a photo in b&w, but I am not sure. This really opens up the playing field here so stretch your mind and BE CREATIVE!

    As always, the Ru|3z:
    • This is NOT a PhotoShop battle it is a photography battle. Only slightly touched up photos may be submitted.
    • Let's keep the file and image size under FK guidelines (under 700 px wide).
    • All photographs must be related to the current weekly theme.
    • Photographs must be taken by the idividual posting (no stealing photos).
    • Use any camera (ie. cellphone, point-and-shoot, disposable) just submit!
    • Multiple submission are welcomed.
    • Photos must be no more than a week old. Take some NEW pictures people!

Have fun, get creative, post as often as you like.

From a party I was at last night. (Less than a week old!)

(I think they are interesting to me because I was working very hard at the time to get good colors. Then to throw them black and white was interesting and seeing which ones worked and which didnt.)

I don't own a nice digital camera yet, so the following attempts will have to do.

Outside my bedroom window. 30" exposure then converted to black and white to give quite a surreal look. I'm out and about all week, so I'll post as many as I can.

hey there thanks very nuch for the kind comments, yours are great as well. I was considering putting up a daffodil shot, but it looks better in colour.

I use a good old 300d, with the EFS 18-55
a nikon macro lens (pics in this thread taken with) and an EF 75-300 USM with Image stabaliser.

Sheez.....this was harder than I thought. I have been taking poctures all week, none of which look good in Black & White.

I don't know how I missed these threads but I'd love to take part.

I took this last weekend when Toronto finally heaved it's ass into spring. So to celebrate the blue skies, sun and birds tweeting I converted everything to black and white....
