MARCH MADNESS :: Red Bracket - Round 1

This is a four round bracketed tournament where each round players will be paired together and given the same stock image. From this image each person will design an image of some sort and submit it in this thread. Once the images are submitted, Flashkit members are encouraged to vote using the poll on a winner for each pairing who will advance to the next round.

In simpler terms, only vote once for the winner between the pairings. You can pick up to 5 - one per pairing. Only after you select your 5, one per pairing, then submit your vote.

There will be no do-overs, unfortunately. So get it right the first time.

The rounds will go from 10 pairings to 5 pairings, resulting in 5 remaining players. After that, either the 5 remaining players will compete head to head for a winner or a pairing of 2 and a pairing of 3 will be made to decided the 2 players to play in a final match. I need input on how you want to do this.

IMAGE RULES:

-Some element of the image given must be used
-All images must be 700px by 400px
-Horizontal or vertical orientation
-Rotation allowed
-Both players in a pairing start from same image
-Both players must include portions of the initial image

VOTING:

-All members are encouraged to vote
-A multiple choice poll will allow you to vote for as many options as you wish. So, in round 1, vote on 5 choices since 5 pairings are listed.
-Due to the limits of the polls, we need to create 2 threads with 10 people in each thread. So vote 5 times in this one and 5 in the other
-This thread is for the March Madness Red Bracket, Round 1
